Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to the State of Qatar Discusses Strategic Development Projects for Sudan with the CEO of Future Union
Doha – His Excellency Badr El-Din Abdullah Ahmed, Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to the State of Qatar, held an important meeting today in Doha with Dr. Abdelgalil Sharaf, Chief Executive Officer of Future Union. The meeting focused on discussing a number of priority development projects, reflecting a practical approach to strengthening cooperation with Sudan.
Future Union, headquartered in the State of Qatar, plays a strategic role in linking the global economy with the Middle East. The company has extensive experience in providing integrated financial and implementation solutions for large-scale government sector projects through advanced models such as Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Finance (EPC+F), Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT), and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP).
During the meeting, Dr. Sharaf conveyed the greetings and appreciation of His Excellency Sheikh Abdulrahman Hamad Nasser Hamad Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Future Union, to His Excellency the Ambassador and to the Sudanese people, reaffirming the company’s great respect for the Republic of Sudan. He also highlighted the developmental role undertaken by the institution by leveraging its capabilities and expertise to support resource development across various economic sectors in African countries, based on well-considered economic principles.
The two sides discussed ways to address Sudan’s development needs, during which Future Union outlined its orientation toward expanding areas of cooperation beyond the traditional markets in which it had previously operated in Europe and the United States, thereby opening the door to new partnerships. The company also presented its project qualification framework, which includes the preparation of detailed plans, certified feasibility studies, and the provision of international guarantees, as a fundamental basis for any future cooperation.
The meeting was attended by Eng. Mohamed Al-Muhaisi, Director of Development at Future Union, whose participation contributed to highlighting the technical and developmental dimensions of the discussions.
